OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEARNING BEYOND THE GIFTED AND TALENTED PROGRAM

This session will outline the selection criteria across Years 7, 8 and 9 for the GATE program. The Academic Captains will then take you through other extra-curricular opportunities that are offered to ALL students, outlining their experience and the time commitment required to participate.

SUPPORTING STUDENTS WITH DIAGNOSED MENTAL HEALTH CONDITIONS THROUGH A CURRICULUM ADJUSTMENT PLAN

This talk discusses adjustments that can be made in the classroom to enable students with a diagnosed mental health condition to access and participate in education on the same basis as their peers.

The session will focus on the purpose of a Curriculum Adjustment Plan (CAP), what is involved in the maintenance of a CAP and examples of how Sacred Heart College may modify schooling to meet the needs of students with a diagnosed condition.
